“RHC founder Melissa Hadley Barrett said she had already received “really good feedback”, with patients experiencing no major side effects.

Ms Hadley Barrett, a nurse practitioner and sexologist, added she too was enthused about the intranasal delivery of the product.

“The oral medications that give erectile function work, but not for everybody and there’s often quite a lot of side effects like reflux or red face or headaches,” she said.

“But when you have a nasal delivery spray of the same family of drugs, you can have it in a much lower dose which means the side effect profile should be a lot better.”
