At the Asia-Pacific Prostate Cancer Conference (APCC) in Melbourne, Nurse Practitioner and Sexologist Melissa Hadley Barrett presented outcomes from 147 men who used SPONTAN nasal spray with a 93% response among men seeking greater convenience and spontaneity.
The retrospective study included 147 treatment-experienced men prescribed SPONTAN® in routine Australian clinical practice, making it the largest real-world dataset reported for SPONTAN to date.
It included a substantial prostate cancer and post-prostatectomy population, a large and clearly identifiable patient group in which ED is common – a group of men that Melissa helps, every day.
Key findings:
- 93% of men seeking greater convenience and spontaneity reported improved erectile hardness and/or achieving penetration
- 64% of post-prostatectomy patients reported the same
- 57% of men who had previously reported inadequate efficacy with oral PDE5 inhibitor therapy reported improvements with SPONTAN
- 68% of men across the overall real-world cohort reported improvements
